Product Update
Over the past quarter, the product & design team’s main focus has been to conduct a complete forum overhaul. The engineering team’s main focus has been to increase site speed and create a smoother product experience.
You should be noticing significantly faster loading times compared to Q1 loading times. The new features that I’ll be highlighting are:
- Social Login
- Comment & Thread Sorting and Filtering
- Email Notifications
Social Login
Users in Commonwealth communities reported that it was inconvenient and often times a participation barrier to always have to login with a wallet. To improve the login experience, we built login options for you to log in to Commonwealth with Twitter, email, GMail, Discord, and Github.

Comment & Thread Sorting and Filtering
A top ask from users across our communities has been to be able to find current discussions and relevant content quickly. We’ve since built a number of different ways that you can sort and filter content to find whats relevant to you.
For comments you can now:
- Sort by oldest
- Sort by newest
- Filter spam comments
For threads you can now:
- sort by newest
- sort by oldest
- sort for most likes
- sort for most comments
While sorting threads you can simultaneously filter for:
- Topic
- Stage
- Timeframe (all time, the past month, the past week)
- Spam content
Email Notifications
We’ve found that it may be difficult for users to keep up with the governance activities happening in their communities especially outside of the community’s governance platform. A requested feature to solve for this issue that we’ve since launched is email notifications.
You can subscribe to email notifications by visiting the notifications setting page which found by clicking the profile icon next to your account name in the top right corner.
