ABOUT

I am Chidi, a finance and legal professional with experience across institutional capital markets and decentralised finance.

I currently serve on the legal team at United Capital Plc, Sub-Saharan Africa’s leading investment banking firm, where I advise across Investment Banking, Asset Management, and Securities Services.

My approach to governance is grounded in research, consistency, and a genuine commitment to the protocol’s long-term interests. I believe strong governance outcomes come from delegates who are deeply informed, consistently present, and committed to the full scope of participation: reading every proposal, attending every call, and posting rationales that explain the reasoning behind each vote.

EXPERIENCE

I hold an active delegate seat at Moonwell, where I specialise in Third-Party Opportunities and Research, with a focus on identifying cross-ecosystem partnerships, delivering governance research, and maintaining transparent vote participation.

Prior to Moonwell, I held leadership and advisory roles at PeopleDAO and Wildfire DAO, where I designed governance frameworks, conducted compliance-focused research in decentralised dispute resolution, and evaluated complex DeFi proposals.

On the traditional finance side, I work on multi-million dollar capital markets transactions and cross-border deals at United Capital Plc, giving me direct exposure to the institutional finance mechanics increasingly relevant to onchain infrastructure.

VALUES AND CONDUCT

A. VALUES

  1. Integrity: I vote in the best interests of the protocol and its users. Conflicts of interest are disclosed proactively, before voting, not after.

  2. Research: My positions are grounded in data, protocol analysis, and cross-ecosystem benchmarking. I do not vote on proposals I have not read.

  3. Engagement: Governance is not just voting. Forum participation, governance calls, working group contributions, and rationale posting are core responsibilities, not optional additions.

B. DELEGATE CONDUCT

  • Use values to guide every vote and forum interaction.

  • Maintain impartiality and disclose conflicts before voting.

  • Ground all positions in research and prior expertise.

  • Post rationales within one week of every vote.

  • Engage actively in governance calls and working groups.

WHY 1INCH?

1inch is critical DeFi infrastructure, routing billions in volume and expanding cross-chain through Fusion+. The governance decisions made here directly shape how that infrastructure evolves, who it serves, and how sustainable it becomes over time.

I chose 1inch because it operates at the layer where institutional finance and decentralised finance most directly intersect: best execution, liquidity sourcing, and cross-chain capital movement. These are areas I work in professionally. I am here to bring that perspective to bear in a way that is useful to the DAO and its community.

DISCLOSURE

I currently hold a delegate seat at Moonwell. I will disclose any additional affiliations or potential conflicts of interest in my vote rationale posts. Where a conflict exists, I will recuse or flag it explicitly before voting.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY

By delegating to this address, you acknowledge and agree that I participate on a best-efforts basis and will not be liable for any form of damages related to my participation in 1inch governance.
