The StableLab team is requesting a grant to build an Optimization Report, a 1inch DAO Constitution, and a revamp of the 1inch Governance Documentation to help support the DAO as it progresses towards decentralization.
**Motivation **
As active contributors to the 1inch DAO, this grant seeks to extend StableLab’s work to offer deeper insights into how 1inch DAO can improve.
In a previous grant (funded by the 1inch Foundation), the main deliverable was a Decentralization Report outlining the current state of 1inch Governance, its successes, its shortcomings, and the necessary next steps to improve the decentralisation and maturity of the 1inch DAO.

This subsequent grant builds upon this previous work and includes new deliverables, such as:
- 1inch DAO Optimization Report
- 1inch DAO Governance Documentation Revamp
- 1inch DAO Constitution
1inch DAO Optimization Report - $20,000
The goal of this grant is to deliver a robust and actionable report that will give the 1inch Core Team insight on how to optimize the DAO to take on more responsibility and ultimately facilitate the 1inch Protocol decentralization process.
Areas of focus in this report include:
- An evaluation of on-chain governance solutions 1inch DAO could explore.
- Proposed 1inch Treasury Management Practices.
- A 1inch DAO contributor framework for evaluating and onboarding contributors.
- A structured service provider arrangement between 1inch DAO and 1inch Labs

**1inch DAO Constitution. - **$20,000
1inch DAO stands to benefit significantly from the development of a Constitution, a document that serves as the primary source of direction for how the DAO operates.
The constitution will lay out a well-defined scope of responsibilities to be divided between 1inch Labs and 1inch DAO. By defining responsibilities, the constitution will be able to implement accountability mechanisms and reduce incidents of conflicts arising out of decisions made under each scope. The constitution will also detail the purpose and responsibilities of what the DAO will and will not govern.
As the primary policy document for the 1inch DAO, this constitution will ensure that there is consistency in how the DAO is managed. With our vast experience as DAO Contributors, we will design a constitution that addresses all aspects of the 1inch DAO, including edge cases which are often overlooked and may lead to conflicts and disputes.
1inch DAO Governance Documentation Revamp - $7,000
Current governance documentation at 1inch is long overdue for a total revamp and reorganisation. We will revamp the 1inch Governance Process by doing the following:
- Updating the governance docs in line with recent 1IP improvements
- Organizing docs with an increased focus on a step-by-step guide on how to participate in 1inch Governance.
- Designing visualisations which would give an in-depth explanation of 1inch Governance and its technical aspects such as how we execute proposals with SafeSnap, as well as its limitations.
Total Cost: $47,000 (USDC)
Note: Due to the research-based nature of the deliverables, payment would be made upon submission of the deliverables.
